Anxiety Interruption Trick

Do you ever get pulled down the drain of a mental spiral? Do you wake at night with a racing mind? Do you lean toward the pattern of anxiety?

In light of the past few years, I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten to know anxiety at a more personal level.

For me, it shows up physically as stomachaches and insomnia. Not fun.

If anxiety -- or its cousins (thought spirals, feelings of tension or contraction, hypervigilance or panic) -- visit you frequently, know that you are not alone.

Considering the holidaze-season, with perhaps more time indoors given daylight and weather, and an ongoing dodgeball game with an array of viruses, it seemed like a great time to share a super simple trick to interrupt anxiety before it turns into the stomachache.

In this video, I go over the technique and we do it together on the spot.

The tool is so simple you'll wonder how it could work. There are several secret tricks going on in your brain to spread out the neural activity and start to loosen the knot of anxiety.

I'd love to hear how it goes for you. Just reply directly to this message.

Anxiety is energy and can illuminate areas of our lives that need more care and compassion. Is there a way to transmute the distress of anxiety into a gift of self-understanding? I believe tools like this can help us relate to anxiety with more gentleness.

May it be so!

With love,
